Suburbia is a dream and a nightmare
Australian suburbia often is a placeless region driven to a great extent by developer-driven economics and governments at all levels that that have largely vacated the role of providing for the public good. The result is under-resourced, homogenous and unimaginative environments.
As an architect, I am simultaneously attracted to and repelled by suburbia. And I spent much of my life living there.
